Rosalía es una parte muy importante de nuestra paisaje ya que en una de nuestras paradas se encuentra la casa donde nació y se crío nuestra más importante poetisa de las letras gallegas

Iglesia San Juan de Ortoño

Sobresale en este aspecto el conjunto parroquial. La iglesia es de planta latina y su construcción se alargo desde principios del s. XVIII hasta la segunda mitad del XIX. La capilla mayor fue acabada hacía 1719, la sacristía hacia 1739, y el cuerpo principal se termina en el siglo XIX

Casa de Rosalía de Castro

Esta casa pertenecia al padre de Rosalía José Martínez Viojo, sacerdote y oriundo de Ortoño en el lugar do Castro. Y en 1923, en recuerdo de la infancia de la escritora, un grupo de gallegistas fundaron en el Castro de Ortoño el Seminario de Estudos Galegos.

The cemetery of Ortoño is next the church, his name is Cementerio os Botáns, it is an old cemetery, it was created in the same time with the church. El 9 de septiembre del 2007 fue un mal día para excavar en un lateral de la iglesia de Ortoño, en Ames, donde un grupo de arqueólogos y voluntarios se congregaron para localizar los cuerpos de siete represaliados durante la Guerra Civil. Estos fusilamientos se basa en la Guerra Civil (17 jul. 1936 – 1 abr. 1939). Ahora se está intentando allar una segunda fosa intentando encontrar los dos cuerpos resantes ya que cinco de ellos ya se encontraron.

Estes campos de cultivo son moi extensos, están localizados na zona exterior de Ortoño, e proporcionada millo para pienso de animáis. En inverno están cuberos de herba e en verán cultivase millo para que en outono se lle de como pienso para os animais da granxa.

A festa de Ortoño é a festa de San Xoán (Santo da Igrexa), celebrano tomando sardiñas asadas na praza das festas, (ao lado da igrexa) os veciños de Ortoño e alrededores (Bertamiráns, Bugallido etc), despois as orchestras tocan e cantan para animar a noite.

Esta ponte cruza desde a zona sur de Ames a zona norte, é una ponte moderna con duas beirarúas e dous carriles. Na Idade Media estaba unha ponte xa desaparecida, na que no seu lugar fixos esta.

In the carnivals of Ortoño the families met in their houses and ate "Galician stew", and for dessert they ate filloas (mainly), but sometimes they also made donuts of anis or ears. The children disguised themselves as their favorite character and toured the neighborhood houses asking for food / sweets.
